Hi, i’m Carlos.

Self-taught and curious by profession, I was born in Tijuana, Baja California. I am always interested in visual language, shapes and colors and I became a photographer. I have developed a large part of my film career as a cinematographer and documentary filmmaker. My professional origin is in public television participating in anthropological, ethnographic, musical and environmental productions. In 2011, I co-founded Perro Rojo Films, with a team of writers and filmmakers with the desire to explore characters, tell stories, and experiment with new narratives. As a result, he established himself as a documentary film producer with the film Mexicanos de Bronze, (2016, Julio Fernández), winner of the national journalism award in 2017, best film in DocMontevideo, official selection at the Morelia International Film Festival and today available on Netflix. Las Ninfas del Celuloide, (2018, Tabatta Salinas, Audrea Gautier), with the support of IMCINE and IBERMEDIA.
